Isaac Braun, CPA CA - Managing Director
Mr. Braun is Managing Director of CREFA Corp.
He manages the day-to-day operations of the Company and, in conjunction with the Firm’s Executive Committee, determines the overall policies and objectives. He regularly examines the Company’s existing structure for ways to improve service and enhance client relationships. As the original founder of CREFA Corp., Isaac has played a key role in the growth of the accounting and consulting divisions in the firm. In addition to his management responsibilities for the company, Isaac spends much of his time brokering and underwriting large Real Estate REMIC transactions and deals daily with various Wall Street Conduits and Servicers. To date, he has been involved in structured finance and has closed in excess of $3 billion of REMIC transactions.
Mr. Braun has over 10 years of professional accounting experience including five years at mid size firms. He is responsible for providing a broad range of accounting, tax and management advisory services to clients in a wide range of industries including Real Estate, Manufacturing, Service, Retail, and Construction. Over the years, he has been responsible for RE HUD audits as well as tax closings for mid size businesses that gross in excess of $100M in revenues.
He also provides a wide range of business advisory services, including business restructuring, financing, long range planning and systems, with an emphasis on the control of costs and improvement of profits. He is proficient in IRS penalty protests and has broad experience with the Appeals Unit.
His community involvement includes many years of being a member of the Bayswater Community Eruv Association, and fund-raising for various non profits in the local community and abroad.
Mr. Braun earned a B.A. degree in Talmudic Law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in MD. He also has a concentration of core accounting and law courses from Catonsville College in MD.
Menachem Weiss, CPA – Director
Menachem Weiss, Director has a broad experience in accounting and auditing in a wide range of industries including the commercial real estate industry. Mr. Weiss’s responsibilities include HUD audit management, quality control for all of the firm’s accounting and auditing work, and executive responsibility for the firm’s information technology systems and technology enhancements ensuring the firm’s utilization of the latest technology to optimize productivity.
A graduate of Touro College in New York City, he has worked at Morgan Stanley, and was a Manager in the Real Estate Group at another mid size firm.
